Construction Tech Academy Vision
"Provide
students an opportunity to explore construction related careers
through contextual, hands-on and rigorous curriculum that prepares
students for direct entry into college, apprenticeship programs,
a job or a career."
The Construction Tech Academy Mission Statement
Construction
Tech Academy is designed as a project based learning environment
that will engage and support students in learning while having
a positive effect on the school, it's students, and it's surrounding
community. In this cross-curricular setting students work
together to solve real life problems that are present in both
the local and global arenas. Large Project based themes
are created to integrate all subject matter as well as prepare
students for further education or a professional path upon graduation.
The Goals of the Academy are:
1.
To improve student attendance and retention by successfully
integrating academic and technical education in a format that
structures learning around careers and students’ interest.
2. To improve the school outcomes of all Construction Tech
Academy students, resulting in their attainment of the skills
and competencies needed to pass the California High School
Exit Examination (CAHSEE).
3. To ensure that Academy graduates are qualified for and
prepared to enter and succeed in an apprenticeship program,
college, or an entry-level job.
